The Curriculum:

Drs. Talis and Opler will set the framework and objectives for the course. Participants will introduce themselves to like-minded colleagues and reflect on individual goals for learning.

Participants will learn Dr. Opler’s ARISE framework and master the goals of supportive psychotherapy training.

Dr. Talis will cover the fundamentals of mindfulness and connect them with psychodynamic principles for clarifying and strengthening the therapeutic alliance.

Dr. Opler will teach participants how to use keystone techniques derived from cognitive behavioral therapy.

Drs. Opler and Talis will review the fundamentals of motivational interviewing. Participants will learn how to facilitate meaningful change in their patient’s lives.

Dr. Opler will present techniques derived from psychodynamic modalities to help learners monitor the therapeutic process simply and practically.
